Each packet includes the music with both the dulcimer tablature and standard notation, along with backup chord names, and lyrics. The accompanying CD is a 65-75 minute “workshop”, where each track covers just a few measures at a time, taking the student through the tunes step by step, note by note, chord by chord, giving fingering and other playing suggestions, gradually working up speed, and culminating with a "play along" track at the end. Students learn new techniques and new tunes at the same time. It's like having a workshop instructor in your living room - except that you can hit "rewind" or "repeat" for those tricky sections! Many of these arrangements include multiple parts as noted in the description.
Unless otherwise noted in the individual descriptions, all arrangements are out of D-A-d tuning for a standard fretted dulcimer (which includes the 6+ fret). Any exceptions to that are noted in the details for the individual arrangement. Some arrangements do require the use of a capo, and that is also noted in the individual descriptions.
