Can't Take My Eyes Off You
Can't Take My Eyes Off You
Classic 1967 hit by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons
“Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You” is arguably one of the biggest hits ever recorded by Frankie Valli, lead singer of the 1960’s group “The Four Seasons”. Like the group’s previous string of hits, including “Sherry”, “Big Girls Don’t Cry”, and “Walk Like A Man”, the song was written by Four Seasons bandmate Bob Gaudio, although it was first released as a solo by Valli in 1967. Since then, it has become one of the most covered songs in American pop music, with recordings by such artists as Andy Williams, The Lettermen, Vicki Carr, Nancy Wilson, Bobby Darin, and Julio Iglesias. It has also been featured in the sound tracks of television shows and movies, including the Broadway musical “Jersey Boys”.
