I look forward each month to your tabs. Especially since you've been doing melody and harmony arrangements. Our club really enjoys working on them. However, this month's melody in PDF format is only in standard notation. Any chance of getting it in tab format for the dulcimere? Thanks -- Bill

Hi Tull:

Today I came across your name in one of my files, from somewhere in the 70s at the John Wesley Church. Typing it in Google, there I found your picture. I'm curious as to your whereabouts and how you're doing.

Peace,

Since I visit your website and copy the music you offer for free, I thought I should write and thank you! I am a beginner searching for a teacher but so far I am teaching myself. I have performed at church once. Since nobody plays the mountain dulcimer I knew it was a safe environment! I plan to go to the Dulcimer Days in Duluth just to get in on a few workshops but will continue my search for a teacher. I would like to find one before I teach myself too many bad habits! Once again, thank you for offering your music. Peggy

the music reminds me of when i was quite small and the long hot summers spent with my parents and family most of which are long gone. one song that appeared in an advert at the time about road saftey had a chorus of "be safe be bright wear something light wear something light at night" i always remember this as a memory from when i was about 5 or 6 and as i am now 51 it did a good job at reinforcing the idea.

Hi Tull: I've been playing the MD for eight months and feel as if I found the instrument I was always meant to play. I particularly love your slowed down waltz tempo versions of standards which I feel really allow the instrument to sing with its own voice rather than trying to keep up with faster and louder playing instruments! I look forward to your tab (thanks for your generosity) in the future. Maybe you'll come out west to the Sf Bay area some time!

Thanks so much for providing us with an opportunity to not only print out the tabs, but practice with the midi. It really helps with timing and playing in parts. Keep the songs with parts coming, they are a lot of fun to play! Thanks Tull

Hi Tull, Thanks so much for the tab. It is great to be able to click on your web page and have access to dulcimer songs. Spring Dulcimer Week just ended tonight. You will be please to know that I am beginning to hear chord changes and my fingers are almost on automatic pilot. Your many fans missed you and hope you come next year. I took a mini autoharp class, it was great!

Tull.....Thanks for the tab and the tab paper. So many people have been talking about tab paper on the Digest. I don't think people would put it in their books if they didn't want people to use it. Hope you are doing okay.

Thanks....Kitty

TULL,

The 4-part arrangement of the popular hymn tune "Hyfrydol" is beautiful. Thank you very much. I enjoy getting your music.

I was referred to this site...looking for music with 1 1/2 fret. I bought a "walk-about" last year with a 1 1/2 fret and have only come across one or two pieces of music.

Anyway, I enjoyed your site and read all of it! Thanks!

I am a mountain dulcimer player and singer and have been working on some Carter Family songs, including Give Me the Roses... I was so happy to find this site with information on that song. I am especially excited to find when and by whom it was written, as I wanted to be sure it was in public domain. Thank you. I will add this site to my favorites and tell my dulcimer friends about it. Gail
